Best halloween templates for the halloween 2026

The best Halloween template depends rather heavily on whether the post is about a costume, a café menu or a problem at work dressed up as a horror story. Those are different posts. One giant pumpkin does not make the same layout equally useful for all of them.
These picks are from our own Halloween template collection. So, yes, this is a look through the things we built, not an independent ranking of every design tool on the internet. The slides below are the actual examples from the templates. They are a useful way to judge the design before putting your own subject inside it.
Spooky & Chic, when the photo deserves the room
Black, red, large serif headings and a slightly severe fashion-magazine feeling. Spooky & Chic / Halloween costume ideas makes sense when the outfit or product is doing most of the work and the copy can stay fairly short.
A costume shortlist is an obvious fit. A dark jewellery collection or an evening event could fit too, although that is a suggested use, not an example of somebody's sales results. Keep the main subject away from the headline and check that the red still reads on your actual photograph. A black coat photographed against a black wall can disappear very efficiently.
The two personality templates have different moods
What is your Halloween personality? has charcoal textures and orange outlined headings. The illustrations keep it friendly. Halloween personality / After dark uses acid yellow against black, distressed titles and compact text. That second one feels more like a poster found outside a late event.
They both suit a “which one are you?” post. The useful choice is how your account usually feels. A family café probably does not need to look like an underground club because October arrived. An illustrator with a loud visual style might find the quieter version a bit too polite.
These are good places for very specific character types. “The friend who brings a separate bag for sweets” has something in it. “The spooky enthusiast” has technically described a person and somehow told us nothing.
A small recipe notebook
4 Easy Halloween Treats uses warm paper, white photo borders and handwritten details. The photos get to look like things somebody could make at home. That is quite useful when a glossy campaign treatment would make the recipe feel unnecessarily difficult.
Put the finished result first. Keep the ingredients somewhere readable. If a recipe takes an hour of chilling, include that hour; readers have clocks too. The sample template name is not a nutritional claim, and changing the title to “healthy” does not do the work of checking the ingredients.
The same design could hold a café's seasonal menu, with the real price and collection details added. Again, the template does not know those numbers. Somebody has to type the right ones.
Halloween Days is allowed to be less useful
Not every post needs to fix a problem. Halloween Days is a brown photo journal with layered snapshots, cut-paper lettering and handwritten notes. It has three example slides, which is enough for a small memory rather than a forced ten-part story.
This is the one for decorating the studio, the team's slightly questionable costumes or a party recap. Use actual pictures. A generated picture of an event your customers attended is going to look quite strange to the customers who were there.
The checklist and the facts post
Before Halloween trick-or-treaters arrive is more atmospheric: red glows, a yellow moon and haunted silhouettes around a checklist. It can carry practical preparations without looking like an ordinary notes app screenshot. Keep the order of the checklist sensible. A pretty slide saying to buy the ingredients after the slide saying to cook them is still a bad sequence.
A Few Facts about Halloween goes in a more vintage direction, with plum backgrounds and white-and-gold type. It suits a small educational post. Check every fact you put in it, especially the suspiciously neat historical claims that come up when Halloween is discussed online. Having a beautiful frame around a date does not make the date correct.
There is also Signs you're in Halloween mode, with red texture and strong silhouettes. It is a more dramatic fit for a recognition post: the decoration already up, the film list already made, the normal shopping basket somehow full of tiny pumpkins.
Pick the structure before the color
A personality post needs each type to feel distinct. A recipe needs space for instructions. A product post needs a photograph that is large enough to inspect. That decision will eliminate a few templates before you start worrying about the exact orange.
Open the collection with Halloween already in the search, look through a few slides rather than only the covers, and choose one whose structure does less fighting with your idea. The title can be changed. Rebuilding a crowded slide from scratch is considerably more annoying.
It feels good to have your first carousel going viral 😏
